In 1954, Sherwood "Shakey" Johnson pooled his funds with those of college friend, Ed Plummer to open the first Shakey's outlet in Sacramento, California. 35 years later, there are 500 Shakey's restaurants world-wide including the Phlippines' City of Gentle People - Dumaguete. Locals and foreign visitors alike are treated to the familiar comforting pizza taste they have known all these years. Shakey's Dumaguete however boasts of seaside patio as valued customers people-watch city life as promenaders stroll along the famous Dumaguete Boulevard walk.

(Feb 2, 2011) Shakey's throws me back to the good 'ol days when friends used to hang 'til the wee-hours over good pizza and great company. Now with new friends in this wonderful place (Dumaguete), I relive the magic all over again.
